We started the return trip today.  We took a “quick” shot up north to Minneapolis where we plan to meet up with my wife’s cousin, her husband and my wife’s uncle in the morning for breakfast.  We are also going to a Twins game and the Mall of America.  We also understand there is a Star Wars exhibit at the Science Museum of Minnesota.  The boys and I need to check that out.

When we got here, we had to visit a local grocery store to support the trip back home, but now we’re sitting in the RV relaxing to Shrek 2.  (the one with the “could you not be yourself for 5 minutes” quote… the kids needed to hear it.) :)

Our visit to Wisconsin was a wonderful as we were hoping.  Our friends showed us a good time and the kids enjoyed seeing their friends.  I plan to post a little more about our time in Wisconsin when I have some more time.

Sorry, no pictures.  I need to wrap things up for the day and get some sleep.  We have a busy day tomorrow.

We arrived!

Trip Stats Day 6

We drove the final 412 miles of the one-way to Wisconsin from Arizona. Today’s trip represented another crossing, of many, for me over the Mississippi River…

Crossing the Mississippi River

So, we’re finally here. The boys are reunited with their friends, our friends’ children. We’ve had to tell them several times to get to bed, since we’re off to Six Flags near Chicago tomorrow. The dogs have been running around in circles, they are so excited to be out of the RV.

We’re shutting down the RV for a couple of days. I’ll start a different series of blogs for our trip home. Right now, I’m just looking for a few days of fun as we see some of the attractions in the area. I want some brats and beer.
